FACILITY

We are open regular operating hours.

Monday – Thursday 5:00 am – 10:00 pm
Friday 5:00 am – 9:00 pm
Saturday 7:00 am. – 6:00 pm
Sunday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

All members 11 to 12 have the option to exercise with a parent during specified times (Fridays from 5:45 pm – 9 pm and all day Saturdays and Sundays).

During family friendly hours, our junior members have full access to the facility including group fitness classes, pools, track and TPC. There are no restrictions on equipment, however the junior member must be with their parent during the full workout.

Family Membership Perk

The 9 am Saturday Total Conditioning session in the Training and Performance Center (TPC) is available to your 10- to 14-year-old as part of your Carle Health & Fitness Center family membership.

This training session offers a mix of simple strength training movements and speed training with a credentialed coach. We hope your son and/or daughter will take advantage of this coach led youth workout and it contributes to enjoying family time in the center. Visit Member Service for details

Yes!  Enjoy both pools on Fridays from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm and Sundays from 1:00 pm-3:30 pm. All ages are welcome and parents must remain within arm’s length for young swimmers. Participants must be members or purchase a guest pass for the day.



Family Swim Pass for $15
  • Can only be purchased by a current member
  • 4 non-members allowed on one pass (must be immediate family or grandparents/grandchildren)
  • Allows access to ONE family swim time
  • Waivers are needed for all participants (including minors)
  • There are no limit to the number of times you can purchase a family pass

We ask that you refrain from using the pool, to do your own routine, during scheduled group fitness classes. Click HERE for the current schedule.

Aqua Classes are offered mornings and evenings as part of the group fitness schedule. All attendees must have a reservation available via the MYWellness App. There is a limit of members per class to adhere to social distancing requirements. The schedule is available on our website and MYWellness App.

Reservations may be made 2 days in advance.


To support community wellness, we partner with Carle McLean County Orthopedics (CMCO) and grant them use of the hydrotherapy pool for water therapy/rehabilitation for some patients. CMCO is in the hydrotherapy pool: 

  • Monday through Thursday 12:00 -3:00 pm
  • Monday and Wednesday 3:45 pm to 5:45 pm
  • Friday 2:15pm to 4:30pm 

The hydrotherapy pool is OPEN for member use during this time but the space available will be affected.

Lap Pool

The lap pool is open for free swim, however reservations are required for the lap pool during peak hours.  All lanes can accommodate two swimmers.

Peak Lap Pool Hours: Monday-Friday 5 am – 9 am and 4 pm -6 pm, Saturday 7 am – 10 am, Sunday 8 am – 11 am. Limit of one reservation per day. Lap Pool is first come, first served during non-peak hours. Reservations can be made via the MYWellness App.

Whirlpool

The Whirlpool is open at all times. No reservations are needed.

We provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner, bath and sweat towels, hair dryers and locks for the locker doors in both locker rooms. The women’s locker room features additional items such as cotton swabs and hand lotion.

Yes, we have drinking fountains with water bottle fillers and a cooler area stocked with beverages .

We also have a retail area that includes snack items such as granola bars along with retail apparel.

Guest passes/day passes are available for $15 a day and can be purchased at the Member Service Desk. Weekly, two-week and monthly passes are also available.

SERVICES

Yes, ABC (Activity-Based Childcare) is open the following hours:

Monday through Thursday: 8 am – 12 pm and 4 pm – 8 pm

Friday & Saturday: 8 am – 12 pm

Closed Sundays

**Hours may be modified during holidays.**

While our childcare room has a limited capacity, similar to all other spaces, if we reach capacity, we will move some or all of the children to a larger available space within the Center.

Yes, you can contact the Member Service Desk to schedule an assessment with a Fitness Coach.

The Training and Performance Center (TPC) offers Youth Sports Performance Training for athletes ages 8 – 18 and Adult Training Programs for all fitness levels. Learn more about TPC at www.tpcbloomington.com

Exercise prevents and manages multiple chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and cancer.  Our Exercise Is Medicine Coordinator partners with your physician to develop a prescribed exercise program to be used at the gym and/or at home.

Our EIM program is a guided introduction to exercise that includes:

  • Support and exercise guidance with degreed and experienced exercise professionals
  • Full access to Carle Health & Fitness Center’s medical fitness facility
  • Unlimited group fitness classes including aqua classes and mind-body classes
  • Use of indoor track, warm water therapy pool, lap pool, whirlpool, steam and sauna
  • A social wellness experience in a non-intimidating exercise setting

Physicians can refer you to our center through a physician referral form. Carle-aligned offices can submit forms directly through EPIC (MyChart online patient portal).

GROUP EXERCISE (GX)

The full Group Fitness schedule is available.  The class size may be limited based on the facility location. Please utilize the MYWellness app to secure a reservation.

The schedule is updated on our website HERE and on the MYWellness App.

Reservations:

You will be able to register for your favorite Group Fitness classes 2 days before the class is scheduled on your MYWellness app. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and once the class is full no additional members will be able to register.

A waitlist will be available for classes and waitlist participants will be notified when a spot becomes available

We ask that you cancel your reservation if your plans change and you aren’t able to attend class.

MEMBERSHIP

Yes, you do have suspension/freeze options as detailed by the terms of your membership agreement. If you choose to suspend or freeze your membership, please visit the Member Service Desk. All freezes must be submitted in writing by the 20th of the month prior to the month you would like your freeze to begin. 

Temporary Suspension – You may submit a temporary suspension of your membership for a minimum period of one (1) month, up to a maximum of three (3) months, no more often than once every calendar year.*

Medical Suspension – A temporary suspension of your membership is allowed for up to six (6) months with a note from a physician.

Snowbird Suspension/Freeze – Available for members ages sixty (60) years or older, this option allows for a minimum of one (1) month and a maximum of four (4) months during the months of November through March, no more than once every calendar year*

Military Suspension/Freeze – A temporary suspension when leaving for active military duty or training, not to exceed twelve (12) months, with presentation of military orders and advance written notice to the Center.

*In a calendar year, each membership can elect for a temporary freeze or snowbird freeze but may not submit for both freeze options. 

If you wish to end your freeze before the planned upon date, you can do so by contacting member service and paying prorated dues for the early return to full membership privileges.

Health Alliance members may be able to save money on their fitness center membership through the Fitness Allowance program (Fully-Insured Commercial) and BeFit (Medicare Advantage) programs.
