The Importance of Stretching

Stretching is an important part to a well-rounded fitness/wellness routine. Research has shown that stretching can help improve our flexibility which will increase the range of motion of our joints. Improving flexibility has many benefits including but not limited to; improved performance in physical activities, improved ability to do daily tasks, and decreased risk of injury. You can achieve most benefits by stretching at lease 2-3 times per week. Even 5-10 minutes of stretching can be helpful. Be sure to breathe normally and hold each stretch for ~30 seconds or longer.
