Why do YOU care about nutrition?
When caring for your body, exercise is not the only player in the game! Nutrition and exercise are teammates and really do go hand-in-hand. Maybe you find one is easier to prioritize than the other. This preference depends on the person! Ultimately, every individual must decide on their “why” for taking care of their body and learn to focus on both adequate exercise and nutrition. If you are not as focused on the nutrition aspects of your health, let me shed some light on how critical nutrition can be! To begin, consuming meals full of fruits, vegetables, proteins, healthy fats, and whole grains can lengthen your life span. How wonderful it is to know that you can increase your time with loved ones and doing what you love. In addition, consistently eating balanced meals can lower your risk of developing chronic diseases. Spending time honing your nutrition now will lead to great gain later in life! Take a few minutes this week to reflect on and determine your nutrition “why.”
