Wellness Wednesday – Trainer Tip – Push-ups
Performing the Perfect Push-up
When executing a push up, begin with your hands slightly wider than shoulder width apart, begin to bend elbows to a 90 degree angle or less; your elbows should only be a few inches away from your torso. Keep a straight line with your body from your head all the way down to your heels while bracing your core and glutes to avoid pressure in your back. As you lower down, keep your shoulder blades back so you don’t round your spine. Once you reach your bottom position, push your hands into the ground as you keep your core and glutes engaged and press up into the plank position again. parisischool.com/proper-arm-position-push
