Tuesday Tip (Dietititan): Healthy Fat for Breakfast
Do you eat a nutritious breakfast but still find yourself hungry soon after?
Check to see if you are including protein and complex carbohydrates which were suggested in the last 2 weeks of nutrition tips. If you are not doing so, that is a great place to start.
If you are doing those, try adding a source of healthy fat to your breakfast! This will help keep you fuller longer and is key to enable your body to absorb specific vitamins from your diet. Try adding a tablespoon of olive oil, avocado, walnuts, or flax seeds to your breakfast to increase your healthy fat content.
